Keila Velázquez is a 25-year-old entrepreneur who decided to start her own business during the COVID-19 pandemic. First, she started creating cloth masks due to their great demand, and then, she decided to make reusable feminine pads to carry a simple message: take care of your environment.
"My vision with the business is to lead a more sustainable, ecological and 'low waste' life... to raise awareness about the environment and to take better care of our planet".
In addition, Keila shared with us that her products are much better than something disposable that later ends up in a landfill without seeing its degradation process. Feminine pads, as well as tampons and disposable diapers, can take between 500 to 800 years to disintegrate. Cloth Menstrual Towels, however, are organic, reusable, and produce less waste.
